Opportunity to obtain a grant through the SME Fund for trademark registration launched again

Dear clients and friends,

as I announced on social media at the end of January,  the opportunity to obtain a grant of 75% of the fee up to a maximum amount of EUR 1,000 from the SME Fund  (to support entrepreneurship by small and medium-sized enterprises) to reimburse the fee for an application  for trademarks has been launched again.

As every year, the rule “first come, first served” applies this year as well, so I recommend taking advantage of this opportunity as soon as possible.

The grant application process  has not changed significantly; the steps are as follows:

  • the grant application must be prepared
  • once granted, the grant must be used within 4 months (with the possibility of extending this period in individual cases to up to 6 months)
  • you will pay the fee from the account specified in the grant application
  • the fee you paid will subsequently be reimbursed to you in the relevant amount in accordance with the grant award decision.

Can I obtain the grant more than once?

Of course. Persons who have applied for a grant in the past may apply again for a grant for another trademark. They only need to once again meet the conditions for obtaining it set out in the SME Fund rules.

In practice, it is most commonly used to obtain a grant for the official fee for trademark registration – we cover this topic at   trademark.boutique (click)

Donot forget:  Twhat one person comes up with today, another will copy tomorrow.  So protect what is yours.
